Toyota to resume production of Hybrid Vehicles

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) today announced that it will resume Japan production of
Prius along with the Lexus CT 200h and HS 250h on Monday 28 March.
The Prius production will be restarted at TMC's Tsutsumi plant, while the Lexus CT 200h and HS 250h will resume production at Toyota Motor Kyushu.
Today's announcement comes one week after TMC in Japan restarted production of replacement parts, and three days after reopening some of its plants which produce parts for overseas production.
TMC will continue to assess parts supply as it considers the restart of other vehicle plants in Japan.
There is currently no impact on Toyota Motor Corporation Australia's (TMCA) vehicle manufacturing operations at Altona, Victoria. TMCA continues to assess what impact, if any, the TMC Japan production halt will have on vehicle imports to Australia and customer orders.
Toyota Australia continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates as they become available.
