Toyota Corolla completes a hat-trick
Feb 3, 2011 By Toyota Australia.
Toyota's
Corolla has scored a "hat-trick" as Australia's best-selling car for each of the past three months.
New sales figures released today reveal a January record for Corolla, which was the only vehicle to top 4,000 sales for the month.
Since the start of November, Australians have bought more than 13,500 Corolla sedans and hatches.
This is more than 3,300 ahead of any other car, demonstrating Corolla's appeal as stylish, affordable, fuel-efficient and reliable motoring.
The popular Toyota is also Australia's best-selling car for the first seven months of the financial year that began last July.
Its popularity, especially among private buyers, helped propel Toyota to its 70th consecutive month as market leader in January ' an unbroken run dating back to April 2005.
Toyota's January result of 14,817 deliveries represents a January-on-January rise of 1.7 per cent and an improved market share of 20.1 per cent.
In addition to Corolla, Toyota's other segment leaders for January were Camry (mid-size cars), RAV4 (compact SUVs), LandCruiser Prado (medium SUVs), LandCruiser 200 Series (large SUVs), HiLux (4x2 light trucks) and HiAce Commuter (bus).
