Toyota launches new-look Corolla sedan
Jun 15, 2010 By Toyota Australia.
Toyota Australia has sharpened Corolla sedan pricing with an upgrade that includes the introduction of a new 2.0-litre engine.
Official prices have been reduced on four of the five Corolla sedan variants, even though they all gain new equipment along with a sportier exterior and more stylish interior.
Exterior styling changes include new bumpers, radiator grilles and side mirrors as well as revised headlamps, foglamps and taillights.
Inside, there are improved sound systems, instruments and steering wheels plus, in Ascent and Conquest, new seat trims.
Luxury-grade Ultima sedan is the first Corolla in Australia equipped with the new 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine.
It offers more power and torque than the 1.8-litre engine which remains standard on all other Corolla models.
Ultima also receives a reversing camera, high-intensity gas-discharge Xenon headlamps and the option of an electric tilt-and-slide moonroof.
Customers can choose from five Corolla sedans. Official prices have been reduced for the Ascent and Conquest (available with manual or automatic transmissions) while the auto-only Ultima has a modest increase.
Corolla sedan's new sound systems have MP3/WMA compatibility, USB jack, 3.5mm audio input jack, Bluetooth (tm) hands-free and audio streaming plus i-Pod (tm) control via the USB jack.
Vehicle stability and traction control are included as standard equipment.
