Long-serving Prius keeps the peace

A leading security company has a high-tech crime-fighting weapon - Toyota
Prius, including one that has clocked up over 780,000km.
M.I.G. Security relies on its nine-strong Prius fleet for security patrols around Mandurah and surrounding areas, approximately 75km south of Perth.
Operations manager Paul Hiron says the longest-serving Prius, on patrol since 2005, is still going strong after 788,411km.
Mr Hiron says reliability is vital to their business as clients depend on the company to give them peace of mind.
He says Prius is ideal for the work - quiet, economical and comfortable. It is also ideal in stop-start traffic for fuel-efficiency and performs on the open road.
He says he would highly recommend Toyota Prius to private buyers, too.
Prius, with its petrol-electric Hybrid Synergy Drive (tm) system, is cleaner than any petrol, diesel or hybrid production car sold in Australia with CO2 emissions of just 89 grams per kilometre. It uses just 3.9 litres of unleaded fuel for every 100km*.
