New Prado - Big value all 'round
Nov 23, 2009 By Toyota Australia.
Toyota has launched its fourth-gen
LandCruiser Prado - and this is a bigger, more powerful version of Australia's leading commercial vehicle, with plenty of off-road cred.
LandCruiser Prado is longer and wider, with a lower stance than its predecessor.
Despite the increased size, Prado has actually reduced its fuel and energy efficiency to figures to as low as 8.3-litres per 100km*.
In the power department, the upgraded dual VVTi V6 petrol engine spits out over 200kW, achieving a double-digit power increase of 13 per cent.
All-new Prado comes factory fitted with driver aids such as ABS, Vehicle Stability Control, and Hill-Start Assist^ and Downhill Assist Control^, which are helpful to drivers both on and off-road.
But, to tackle the tough off-roading situations for which this vehicle was built, Toyota developed advanced driver and performance aids - such as Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS)**, and optional forward-facing and side-view cameras^^ - to significantly help you navigate moguls, rocky and sandy terrain.
With entry level models priced substantially below the current market expectation for such a high-spec vehicle, new Prado presents great value for money.
